As most of you know starting in the 2014 college season it will be the College Football Playoff. These are the 13 members on the committee: Jeff Long, Pat Haden, Archie Manning, Oliver Luck, Tom Osborne, Barry Alvarez, Tyrone Willingham, Condoleeza Rice, Mike Gould, Tom Jernstedt, Dan Radakovich, Mike Tranghese, and Steve Wieberg.
The committee will meet four times during the season. They will release the top 25 college team rankings every other week starting in mid October. They will serve 3 year terms and will not be paid.
They will be responsible for picking the four teams in the playoff, rankings, placing teams in the non contract New Years Day bowls ( Cotton, Fiesta, and Chick-fil-a), and pick the highest ranked champion from the non power five leagues ( American, Conference USA, Mid American, Mountain West, and Sun Belt), they will receive an automatic bid to one of the six bowls associated with the playoff.
